Born in 1936, served in the IDF for 30 years as a paratrooper, commander of Sayeret Matkal, commander of a regular tank brigade and regular armored division, and chief intelligence officer and commander of the Command and Staff College.
Founder of the B.A. program in Home Front Defense at Beit Berl College, where he also lectures. He has taught classes on second-line defense and diplomacy at Tel Aviv University.
