Dr. Shamir completed his doctorate at the Department of War Studies in King’s College, London and earned his master’s degree in Organizational Strategy at Brigham Young University in the United States.
Dr. Eitan Shamir is a senior lecturer and head of the graduate program in security studies in the Political Science Department at Bar-Ilan University and a senior research associate at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA Center).
Dr. Shamir was previously the head of National Security Doctrine in the Ministry for Strategic Affairs and a senior researcher at the IDF operations division, The Dado Center for Interdisciplinary Military Studies. His research interests include: national security, military strategy, military command, and military innovation.
