Applied researcher who served Head of R&D Infrastructure in the IDF Behavioral Sciences Department. From 1999 to 2020, he served as Head of the IDF Survey Center in the Behavioral Sciences Department.
Research interests include civil-military relations, public opinion and communications during wartime, resilience, the reserve army, research methodology, research and organizational influence, assessment studies, political and marketing research, and education policy.
Dr. Or is also an independent researcher and consultant on the applied research processes in a wide array of large organizations – in the academic, educational, municipal, and business areas. He is a member of the board of the Israeli Sociological Association.
Dr. Or earned a PhD from Strasbourg University in France after writing a dissertation titled Changes in Jewish Public Opinion in Israel During Low-Intensity Warfare Events.”
